AP Literature and Composition 2019-2020
The Course at a Glance
AP English Literature and Composition is a college-level course that encourages thoughtful engagement and rigorous textual and contextual analysis of literary works in a variety of genres, including prose, drama, and poetry, and from a variety of times and places. Our course texts invite careful reading and rereading and do not yield all of their pleasure of thought and feeling the first time through. Careful, close reading and analysis of our course texts are essential to thoughtful, clear, compelling writing, as these literary works and related scholarship not only develop our thinking but also demonstrate the rhetorical moves we will develop in our own writing. Active reading, reflection, discussion, and writing make up the majority of the work we will undertake in this course.-Dr. Lauren Holt
The purpose of this site it to document my progress throughout senior year AP Literature. I will regularly be keeping up with this site to accurately show my development as a writer and a reader.
